Jeffrey Cichon is the founder of Expansion Partners focusing on the education and technology sectors. He has over 20 years experience of proven success as an entrepreneur, sales, and business development executive working with a wide array of innovative companies, both in the U.S, and Asia. Jeffrey also serves as Director of Business Development for the University of California Berkeley’s School of Engineering. Some of Jeffrey’s specialties include:


  • Launching new products and services in emerging markets 

  • Working with Fortune 2000 companies to create and launch new SaaS solutions, and transform legacy business models

  • Helping startup companies to launch new products, develop Go-To-Market strategies, and generate sales

  • Closing deals within the education, e-learning, wireless technology, consumer, and enterprise software spaces, both in the U.S and Asia.


Jeffrey has a B.S degree in Business and Organization Development from Central Michigan University, and an MA in Educational Technology from Central Michigan University. Jeffrey also studied Japanese at San Francisco State University.

Peter Lambert is the newest member of Expansion Partners and brings a focus on Edtechbusiness development for western firms in Asia, where he spent 15 years building essential contacts and networks.  In 2004 in Beijing he started the China branch of a pioneer UK-based Edtech firm, forging groundbreaking channel partnerships with some of China’s largest state-owned educational institutions and media organizations.   Peter has lived and operated multiple businesses in Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and SE Asia.  Some of Peter’s specialties include:

  • Consulting on market and competitive analysis and crafting go-to-market strategies

  • Launching foreign-invested subsidiaries in Asian nations

  • Winning key reference sales and closing and managing profitable channel partnerships

  • Establishing and leading local sales and support teams

  • Connecting Asian and US small-to-medium sized enterprises and bridging cultural divides


Peter has a B.A. degree in Literature with highest honors from Boston College, and an MBA degree in Entrepreneurship and Marketing from Georgetown University where he was selected as an MBA Scholar.
